Golden Hour Dinner
An intimate sunset dinner hosted by Commas creative director, Richard Jarman, in collaboration with Hendrick’s Ginand chef, Jordan Toft to tease the launch of the brands Autumn Winter 2022 collection at a secluded harbour beach in Sydney, Australia.
”We’ve all been longing to be outside and creating memories together again and I would be hard pressed to think of a more inspiring back drop than Sydney Harbour at dusk. Dining under the setting sun really has such an amazing energy to it and you could feel it on the evening. The concept was quite simple; great conversation, incredible food and to be completely surrounded by the natural world.”says Commas founder and creative director.
Under the rich amber hues of the afternoon sun industry tastemakers gathered barefoot to celebrate Commas' many accolades of 2021 — Jarman was crowned National Design of the Year and later received the Australian Fashion Laureate for the Emerging Designer category — and welcome the new Autumn Winter 2022 collection.
The coastal setting girt by the Pacific Ocean and with the calm lapping of water along the sandy beachfront are a constant source of inspiration for Jarman.
Poised at the waters edge and overlooking iconic Sydney harbour the 50-person table setting featured a fresh palette of native Australian wattle, warratah and lemon myrtle, while at the northern end chef, Jordan Toft cooked over an impressive open-fire and Hendrick’s mixologist, Luke Sanderson created the brands signature Hendricks summer cocktails, Hendrick’s Ritz and Lunar Native Tonic.
