Commas creative director, Richard Jarmanhas curated the brands first physical space and retail environment titled theCommas Weekend Residencycelebrating the arrival of the Spring Summer 2022 resortwear collection. 

“What I want to create with the residency is a different perspective, one where you can take your time to slowly introduce yourself to the clothes in a home-like environment filled with beautiful design pieces,”says Commas creative director, Richard Jarman.

Jarman collaborated with renowned interior stylist,Joseph Gardner to create an intimate environment with a warm aura, akin to the brand's central underpinning of a mindful pause. Natural light floods the space from ornately-framed original glass windows along the northern wall, while Australian oak timber floors provide the perfect canvas for Gardner’s artful furniture installation which features rare mid-century Italian furniture carefully curated fromColecta Rara’s sustainable capsule.

“This concept of a Weekend Residency is something that we look to roll out in key cities across the world, to launch our first here at home, as summer arrives, is very special,” says Jarman.

In the centre of the space is an ambient lounge-room setting showcasing the rare collectors items and enclosed by the hanging resortwear collection. Books from Jarman’s personal archives are scattered throughout, while a soundtrack designed by friend and collaborator, Arman Naféei (Director of Ambiance to the Chateau Marmont) gently soothes the soul and transports the Residency’s guests to a sun-drenched setting.
