What aspects of Rio captured your heart during your visit?
I met incredible people on this trip, including an elderly lady with a young spirit. We didn't speak the same language, but we understood each other through gestures and feelings. One moment I loved was when she drew her age in the sand with pride and elegance - it showed her creativity and quick thinking. The locals have a beautiful appreciation for life, even gathering to clap as the sun sets.
Tell me about something in Rio that really moved or inspired you.
Music! It inspires me both consciously and subconsciously. I’m a big fan of Brazilian music, and my trip's soundtrack was a mix of genres. The African roots leading into bossa nova and samba have so much nuance!
What was the energy like there? Did you feel a certain rhythm to the city?
I'm in love with so many aspects of that city - its architecture, city planning, and nature are fascinating. The cuisine and music are vibrant and full of color.
