Commas x Hereu
Spanish accessories label HEREU and Australian resortwear label COMMAS present a harmonious capsule collection inspired by their natural surrounds. The two labels have long admired one another’s approach to quality craftsmanship and timeless design.
The synergy is clear — HEREU inspired by the beauty of a life by the Mediterranean Sea and COMMAS born on the beaches of Sydney. After seasons of conversation and mutual appreciation, HEREU founders José Bartolomé and Albert Escribano and COMMAS founder Richard Jarman launch an exclusive capsule collection including three distinct shoes imagined for the modern man.
“There’s so much we have in common in our approach to HEREU that it made sense to finally work together on a project,” shares Jarman. “Whenever we’d shoot COMMAS’ campaigns and lookbooks, it had to be HEREU that we used for the footwear. I also wear their footwear every day.”
“From the first moment we have felt a true connection with COMMAS, our brand’s aesthetic is strongly aligned. The language is simple, fresh and relaxed, but also mature and timeless. We communicate our core values in a very transparent and simple way, we let our imagery and most of all, the product speak for itself,” shares Bartolomé and Escribano.
Inspired by elements of the environments they call home, each piece is hand-crafted in Spain. The capsule is comprised of a square-toe fisherman sandal crafted in Spanish full grain calf leather (available in black and chocolate) and a buckle-strap mule loafer crafted in unlined full-grain double face Italian suede (in cream and chocolate).
As with each of their respective collections, COMMAS and HEREU’s capsule collection is anchored in responsible design with a focus on luxury craftsmanship, as well as a desire to breathe fresh life into everyday wear for a life lived in comfort by the sea.
